Welcome to our new Showroom. This page primarily focuses on the work of original artists who display in our new Studios @ the Glasshouse Works. The Glasshouse Works recently purchased an old hotel building (small town hotel) and moved our offices to the lower floor. There are two floors--a skyscraper by Stewart, Ohio standards! and we have created a showroom for our Home, Conservatory, and Garden items. In the links below over the next few months, you will find listed more of the items from our Showroom for you to buy by mail. Peruse the following items and links perhaps for your springtime shopping needs this year. We have many links from these pages to the full Studio Offerings of these artists and sources. New! The Glasshouse Works Commissions from China

Our First commissioned items from China are now here! We have just received a group of twelve Chinese Auspicious Animals! They are sculpted in either marble and granite. We picture three of them just below. We call them "Lucky Beasts." indeed it it difficult to translate directly from the Chinese, but these beasts are a great piece of sculpture for the garden. We are keeping one inside by the fireplace. They traditionally are put in the garden because they are said to give good fortune to the owner and to protect from evil spirits. They are considered great watchers of the home and garden. We have seen these in various forms and different media over the years. The image we had these designed from was from a large incense burner in copper which we saw at the famous "Sun of Heaven" Chinese exhibit 10 years ago. We chose them to be in lasting stone for our gardening friends. Keep this in mind for the fall and winter holiday season. The one foot high size is perfect for the home too. The price is amazing low considering the fact that we had to made to order and they were shipped from just outside Beijing!

15116 THE AUSPICIOUS ANIMAL $ 295.00 These have finally arrived. Our first commission in marble and granite from China. These are also called "Lucky Beasts." We sent the photo of what we had seen and said to create a garden piece for our customers. What came to us has been described as strange, wonderful and adorable. The best part of these is that they are protectors of the garden and traditionally are said to give good fortune to the owner. We have these in black marble, grey granite and green and grey marble. We have only 12. These would be great as a gift either for a friend or yourself. 15118 CHINESE HORSE STATUE IN marbLE $ 450.00 We have also just received our order of marble horses from China. These are in a wonderful patterned mahonany marble which is suitable for the home as a decorative indoor piece. We also have a set in white marble. Being marble, they are quite garden worthy also. Often these are purchased in pairs and set facing each other in the garden. Check the entry below if you wish to purchase a matched pair in either white marble or mahogany brown marble. There is a special price for buying a matched set. These would be great as a gift either for a friend or yourself. The Art of David Whitehill

Not of course gardenworthy in your outside garden, but since he is a new artist to our set of galleries, check out the Work of David Whitehill who has created oils and acrylics for forty years. For fear of pinning a title on a painter of as many talents as David Whitehill, his art could be the art of a modern surrealist. But there are so many other angles to this multifacited talent! Mr. Whitehill uses dream images and waking images as the basis for his art. Often a dream will lead to a canvas. Often the canvas will speak to him and the organic image will grandually take hold of the work in progress. All of this is accompanied by fabulous techique and knowledge of the medium. Take a look and consider bying a painting, a work of art, that will grow in value through the years as well as grow in importance.

We are very pleased to offer various imported Chinese granite and marble works. This gallery will increase as we get more in from China. We are working closely with Estatelions.com, one of the best importers of Chinse Art. We now have various foo-dogs (or estate lions) in the gardens and in the nurseries for sale. We offer some of these items below. On this page, you can see the first images appearing. Immediately below we have several of the first stone statues available. Check back here shortly for further entries and offerings. This Studio from our Garden Arts Gallery will be enlarging soon. We are pleased to offer some of these items for the first time in the U.S. because of our relationship with Estatelions.com. Please come back often and see what new statuary we can offer. The items under one hundred pounds are shipped directly from Glasshouse Works by U.P.S. The larger items are shipped from Estatelions.com by common carrier (by truck).
