This includes at least 5 plants, each labeled, @ $12.00

52207 ABROMETIELLA [DEUTEROCOHNIA] CHLORANTHA BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00Tidy compact carpets (in time becoming broad mounds) of multiple rosette heads of grayish green--each crowded succulent leathery leaflet tipped with a flexible spine & lined with teeth. Green flowered Bromeliad from rocky exposed areas of Argentina, and thus is perfectly happy in a moss succulent wreath. Eventually forms a hedgehog hemisphere of growing tips.

41088 AEOLANTHUS PARVIFOLIUS LAB CGH HP PRICE: $ 5.75 Columns of four-ranked, felted aromatic leaves completely hide the small arching stems tipped with soft pink lipped flowers. Very beautiful "Teddy Bear Mint" forms a beautiful potted plant, a perfect groundcover for taller leggy succulents, or--as the stems root as they trundle along--a very satisfactory soft tough on your succulent wreath.

68472 APTENIA CORDIFOLIA MAJOR VARIEGATA AIZ TGH HP PRICE: $ 7.00 Succulent chrystaline embedded surgaces on fleshy leaf pairs strinkingly margined ivory on fleshy cascading stems with showy clusters of rich maroon red flowers; "The Giant Sun Rose" needs full light, adequate light, and constant warmth to reach its full potential.

60969 APTENIA SPECIES WHITE FLOWER AIZ TGH HP PRICE: $4.00 Curious deeply and dramatically cascading vine with white starry blossoms produced with great abandon. May be a Delosperma species--still in debate. A popular favorite among hobbyists for outdoor summer urns and windowboxes when the design demands a reliable rapidly cascading accent plant--that is, a dependable "spiller." As long as this succulent trailer is warm and sunny, it will tolerate considerable moisture.

50511 CALLISIA ITSY BITSY INCH PLANT [SP] COMM HP PRICE: $ 3.50 Dense mats of waxy succulent lime-green leaves & tiny eggshell- blue flowers; although this beautiful glossy beauty remains the most commonly grown basket plant of the spiderworts, this species is still unidentified! Quite content grown in full sun and thus a natural for growing as a low cover on moss topiaries and even quite successful on living wreaths.

60017 CEROPEGIA LINEARIS WOODII ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.50 "Rosary Vine" or "String of Hearts" Thread-like vine with large "rosary bead" tubercles and small pairs of heart-leaves designed with bright silver surfaces. Dependable tried and true houseplant unless you overwater!

41357 CISSUS HAMADEROHENSIS VIT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.75 "Tapeworm Grape" Thick slate green flattened tapeworm stems of long-spaced joints climb with tendrils; leaves deciduous. For kids, this is a totally neat plant. This can be visually amazing if encouraged to wrap its flattened woody self around and around a succulent wreath as a decorative "ribbon" mimic. Sent as mossed URCuts if have none potted when you order as it seems to travel fine as a mossed cut.

20100 COLUMNEA PRINCE [HYB] GES HP TGH PRICE: $ 6.75 Very shrubby habit slightly cascading and somewhat bushy with long hairy leaves margined white. Inquire.

60259 CRASSULA MARGINALIS CRA HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.25"String of Buttons" The opposite oval red-edged button leaves fuse around the stem like some Eucalyptus. Perfect much branching small statured subject for hanging baskets, fine on succulent wreaths.

61008 CRASSULA WOODII CRA HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 Petite tumbling tinkertoy stems set with multitudes of paired tiny fat leaflets; cute tuffet for a planter. Always popular as a key element of succulent wreaths. The perfect tuffet for the base of a succulent bonsai.

52254 CRYPTANTHUS ACAULIS BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 Common "Earth Star" of dusky gray tones forming tidy gradually mounding attractive rosettes with their starry "hidden" flowers. Silver grey foliage. Perfect in any terrarium design.

52087 CRYPTANTHUS UNDULATUS BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Very compact species with cardboardish leaf edges quite ruffled; eventually forms mounding tuffets.

50514 CYANOTIS SOMALIENSIS COMM HP CGH $ 3.50 "Pussy Ears" Succulent creeper with triangular curved, gloss green leaves with soft white hairs creating a "fringe"; flowers said to be purple & orange--although after growing this twenty years, we have yet to observe any. Excellent for small baskets; perfect groundcover in succulent dish gardens, and a perfect addition to any succulent wreath.

60634 CYNANCHUM DECAISNIANUM [AFFINITY] ASC TGH PRICE: $ 4.75 Madagascar species with terete jointed branches accented occassionally by tiny clusters of blimp blossoms to show its kinship with the Dischidia kith. Sent as unrooted cuttings. (from the succulent collection at the Milwaukee Domes) This easily grown "Swallow Wort" Arches, inches, ascends moss, cascades--putty in your hands--even quite effective as a decidedly weird wraparound sting/ribbon on a succulent wreath design.

60044 DISCHIDIA ALBIDA [HORT] ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.50 "Propeller Vine" Propeller-shaped pairs of attractive gray- green leaves on soft swollen pendant (or climbing if it can find something to twine around) stems make this a great basket subject--extremely popular twining about on open wire topiary frams. Bizarre little clusters of urn shaped blimp blossoms sometimes appear at leaf nodes. This is most effectively presented gently twining about the outlines of an open wire topiary, very cute when wraped around and around a mossed succulent wreath. Typically sent as an unrooted cutting in dry moss.

60632 ECHEVERIA RUNYONII MONSTROSUS CRA CGH PRICE: $ 12.00 Frilled rosettes of fleshy crested-edged leaves with gray glaucous pearly surfaces distinguish this as the "Topsy Turvy Plant" because the alabaster leaves look as if they are tightly packed upside down into a tight ball--like an ivory football mum! Full sun brings out the best pearly toned surface and encourages the mid-winter wands of peach toned blossoms. Looks quite complicated, yet easy to grow with adequate light.

66038 HATIORA (RHIPSALIS) SALICORNIOIDES CAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.00 "Drunkard's Dream" or "Dancing Bones" Epiphytic Rhipsalis cousin with stiftly arching thickly-branched sprays of bottle-shaped branchlets tipped with yellow flowers fading to salmon; soon makes a wonderful windowsill potplant (or with time, a stunning hanging basket subject) with very regularly dividing bone shaped stem section forming a very symetrical outline. Distinct from and quite unlike its Rhipsalis kin in that the "Drunkard's Dream" has stem segments which are determinate, meaning in botanical terms that each little bottle shaped segment has a predetermined size and shape when it starts to be formed. Usually shipped as URCuttings in dry moss.

65413 HAWORTHIA UBOMBOENSIS LIL PRICE: $ 6.50 New for Fall 2010. "False Tillandsia" Has the stoloniferous character and stiff open rosette of H. limifolia (under which it has been classified); however the pale green smooth leaves lack any ridging. Handsome unique species turning liliac in bright light. Stoloniferous habit makes this popular in mossed topiary and in mossed succulent wreaths as offsets pop out randomly after burrowing below.

60816 HOYA BELLA PAXTONII ASC TGH HP PRICE: $ 10.00 Crinkle-edged leaves on pendant stems with flat umbles of white flowers with cute pink coronas. Indian collection originally distruibuted as H. Paxtonii (Nichols). Usually sent in pots, but when demand is high or during periods of extended warm weather, is safer to send unrooted cuttings in moss.

61014 HOYA CARNOSA HOLLIANA VARIEGATA ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 10.00 New supplies of this great Hoya for 2010. Beautiful pairs of thick succulent leaves--much reduced in size compared to most Carnosa cvs--each wavy waxy leaf margined creamy white; habit is prostrate, making this cultivar most ideal for succulent wreaths and moss topiaries. Sometimes sent in moss as a generous unrooted cutting.

60094 HOYA LACUNOSA ASC HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.75 Tassel-like pendant umbels of fuzzy lemon-greenish white flowers with lemon centers and soft fragrance (a very clean aroma) perfectly match the dwarf-statured quilted leaves; the name derives form the lacunose leaf surface. That is, the surface of the leaf is cupped or depressed between the veins. Malaysian native beautifully displayed in small baskets to present the dangling scented flower clusters easily or trained on a moss topiary. Certainly the least challenging small statured cascading species to easily bloom as a houseplant. If not currently in pots, easily shipped as an unrooted cutting in moss.

60373 KALANCHOE BEAUVERDII SCANDENS CRA HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "False Hoya" The wiry stems and blackish-green narrow curved leaves are Hoya mimics--but the adventituous plantlets on the leaf tips and the nodding maroon-dotted flask flowers strongly indicate the true identity. From Madagascar, where the hooked leaves help in the scramble through the brush and thornshrubs to display the showy clusters of blossoms to potential pollenizers...always a favorite of kids and luckily, only one swathe of lawn need be mowed in order to earn enough to afford this wonderment. Certainly a statement when trained on open wire topiary frames.

65827 LEDEBOURIA SOCIALIS LIL HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.75 Formerly Scilla violacea. "Silver Squill" Rich purple swollen bulblets in thick clusters support small violet- backed leaves whose surfaces are dotted silver. Easy houseplant with small wands of tiny white flowers produced seasonally. If allowed to become a many-headed specimen, the winter blooms can be quite impressive en mass.

53589 PEPEROMIA JUNGLE RED PIP HP CGH PRICE: $ 3.75 Cheerful red-stemmed tangles with whorls of fat succulents patterned button leaves, violet-red beneath in high light. Great miniature plant

23784 PEPEROMIA PROSTRATA PIP HP TGH PRICE: $ 7.00 "Prostrate Peperomia" New listing for 2010. Sometimes called minima or rotundifolia. This is a great ground cover or even small hanging basket plant. Can easily be grown on moss--just remember that the roots never go deeper than the surface.

41041 PILEA DEPRESSA URT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.50 Popularity indicated by multitude of popular names; "Shiny Creeping Charley," "Giant Baby Tears" "Mini Peperomia", by any name an excellent terrarium groundcover easily grown, attractive base for any leggy houseplant.

53150 PILEA GLAUCA URT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.50 Carpeting "Silver Sprinkles" or gray artillery fern--very prostrate much branching stemlets with multitudes of tiny (barely a pea's width) glaucous oval leaves. A fabulous tiny featured groundcover, perfect for terrariums or for dishgardens--proven in the latter as has proven remarkably tolerant of low humidity,.

41049 PILEA MICROPHYLLA PROSTRATA URT HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.00 "Waterfall Fern" Prostrate succulent stems with tiny watery leaves create a ferny, weeping effect when used in hanging baskets; perfect for terrarium carpet. Due to waxy surfaced tiny leaves, the most tolerant of any finely lacy appearing plant of lower levels of humidity and of higher levels of direct sun.

41050 PILEA NUMMULARIIFOLIA URT HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "Creeping Charley" Quilted pebbled leaves overlap trailing prostate stems. Once commonly offered as a bright apple green hanging basket plant--but we would suggest an area with higher humidity. Great in the larger Wardian cases.

41711 PLECTRANTHUS MENTHOL EUCALYPTUS [SPECIES] LAB PRICE: $ 3.75 Short woody stems are completely covered by mounds of thick succulent tiny "scalloped pillow" leaves with hirsuit surface-- giving off very pungent fragrance when brushed. Popular on wreaths, for , when pinned against the surface, this will root along the stems.

41124 PLECTRANTHUS PROSTRATUS LAB HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.25 "Pillow Plant" or "Succulent Swedish Ivy" Profusions of tiny thick crenulate leaves form a lime-green mat--lines of purple form on leaf edges if in bright light; white flowers toned violet. Very popular as a filler in succulent wreaths and prized by designers of topicary animals as remains very low growing. Always a good choice for a prostrate carpet of fat foliage filling in any gap in your wreath design.

41125 PLECTRANTHUS PURPUREUS LAB HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Another "Succulent Swedish Ivy" Profusions of tiny thick velvety leaves form a lime-green mat--lines of purple form on leaf edges if in bright light; white flowers toned violet.

11114 POLYPODIUM FORMOSANUM POLYPOD HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.75 The "Naked Rabbit Foot Fern," so called as the small bright chalk white rhizomes are not furred but seem to flow over the surface, dividing like "E.T.'s Fingers" under a very low canopy of beautiful delicately lobed bluish fronds. Easy once established--a tremendous performer on a mossed topiary globe..

60550 PORTULACA GILIESII POR HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.75 "Windowsill Rosemoss" Very pelted rosemoss with jellybean purple-green leaves on short stems tipped with delightful full creped magenta blossoms; unlike anual types this persists from season to season in full sun and much air circulation, thus a basic for succulent wreaths. Best blooms and tightest foliage when grown in full sun.

66262 RHIPSALLIS CAPILLIFORMIS MOPHEAD CAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.75 Fabulous extreme form of this species named "formed like hair" as the very tiny slim stems divide constantly to form arched thick manes of fringed mopheads of foliage shown to advantage in a small basket or adding grace to a succulent wreath; quite tiny cream flowers. Epiphytic soil mix is imperative. Often sent as a mossed unrooted cutting

66121 RHIPSALIS HORRIDA CAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.00 A lovely soft white-haired deep green-emerald miniature; slim short segments in attractive bundles arching to form mini fountains. Rare terrestial species from Madagascar, ever so perfect when introduced to a succulent wreath design as it loves the perfectly drained moss. While usually available in pots in the nursery, often shipped as a generous cutting in moss.

68270 SANSEVIERIA BALLYI 'MINNIE' [RAUH'S KENYA] AGA HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Bright green spiky "Hedgehog" type with many stolons (even from upper trunk); the fat upper keeled lower third leaves adorned with a papery horned edge. Much shorter and more compacted clusters of leaves than similar larger statured ones from Kenya. A Werner Rauh collection which has undergone many name changes over the years. Certainly among the cutest unfriendly plants we offer.

68154 SANSEVIERIA SENEGAMBICA [CORNUI] AGA HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.50 Short upright curved leaves flattening toward the tip end with a slim point, the surface a matte-green with faint banding. Good compact waxy leaved species with reddish rhizomes & violet-white flowerss. If grown in a moss or coconut fiber basket, it loves to send forth stolons thru the medium to emerge through the fiber to form new plantlets resulting in an amazing "globe" of foliage being achieved--a trick also endearing this very compact grower to designers of succulent wreaths. Very easily grown houseplant with the endearing trick of elevating itself up out of its container--not very fussy about light intensities.

68162 SANSEVIERIA SUBSPICATA [HORT] AGA HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.75 This clone we have is from Manda's collection, representing the most easily grown form most common in USA--Deep green-black undulate wide leaves on slender petioles, with bright horned edges; the very short leaves overlap in irregular tostled rosettes. Tolerant of much neglect. Some customers enjoy starting this in a mossed wire topiary whereupon it gradually sticks out its meandering stolons to form writhing rosettes of foliage eventually covering the entire surface--quite wonderful, although requiring patience. This stoloniferous trick also endears this very compact plant with succulent wreath designers as well. We hope not to be accused of shameless price gouging on this guy.

60445 SEDEVERIA HARRY BUTTERFIELD [HYB] CRA HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.75 "Mule Tail" Easily grown (in full light and adequate moisture with perfect drainage) large "Burro Tail" with tightly packed pearl-toned leaves completely covering the cascading succulent stems; considered a Hummel creation named for one of his contemporary nurserymen.

60462 SEDUM BURRITO CRA HP CGH PRICE: $ 3.75 Smaller, rounder & whiter leaves than the traditionall "Burrotail" on strong stiff cascading stems; silvery meal-dusted leaves less likely to shatter than other similar species. The best form by far for a dramatic hanging basket plant; wonderful in succulent wreath designs.

60466 SEDUM LINEARE VARIEGATUM CRA CGH HP HH PRICE: $ 4.25 "Star Sedum" Soft much-branched ascending stems are covered with soft white-margined leaves; Its low mat-forming quality makes this a common cascading basket subject and a natural for succulent wreaths. Cool winters trigger this Japanese species to cover itself with starry yellow flowers late spring. Although listed in various books as Z6 or Z7 winter hardy, it has never survived a winter here outdoors. We list it as a tropical, but it is often used in the south as a perennial.

60469 SEDUM MAKINOI MARGINATUM CRA CGH HH HP PRICE: $ 4.00 "Snow Ladder" General habit and character of S. lineare, but the white-edged shingled spatulate leaves are rounded--overlapping on trailing soft stems to form "stairways"; yellow flowers. Japanese native much used by wreath designers and basic in succulent dish gardens.

60470 SEDUM MEXICANUM CRA HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "Mexican Stonecrop" Mounds of waxy fresh-green soft needle shaped leaves densely packed on hidden fat toppling stems--makes a perfect ground cover for stemmy pot plants; quite basic for decorative small hanging baskets or dish gardens; a basic for succulent wreaths and small moss topiary. Starry yellow flowers usually appear late winter on this amazingly undemanding stonecrop.

61217 SEDUM [SPECIES?] FROSTBITE CRA HH PRICE: $3.25 Tiny tumbling mounds of fleshy gray foliage; very lovely delicate appearance, but of robust and fast growth. Perfect groundcover in any succulent container.

60450 SEDUM [SEDEVERIA] VERA HIGGINS [HYB] CRA HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.25 Modest-sized carpets of slim stems punctuated by plump pinkish-green to dusky rose leaves--color marbled coral in full sun; forms full toppling mounded "Chocolate Donkeytail." Unusual lovely mounding carpet originally from Hummel.

60580 SENECIO IMPLEXUS COMP HP TGH PRICE: $ 3.75 "Maasai Carpet" Lovely fuzzy-velvet avacado-green thick leaves archly dangle on thick cascading stems with swollen roots; makes a handsome carpet groundcover or an extraordinary hanging basket subject. One of the easiest furry creatures for your garden combinations. As the fat stems are willing to root as they roam, this is an ideal furry creature to train around and around your succulent wreath for a knockout result.

60581 SENECIO JACOBSENII [PETRAEUS] COMP HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "Vining / Trailing Jade" Glossy round-edged fleshy overlapping leaves shingle the thick trailing stems; excellent windowbox or hanging basket plant especially with its showy orangy yellow cushion flowers mid-winter. Like S. implexus, the fat succulent stems love to root into any media as they roam about, making this a perfect beautiful vine to wrap around and around your succulent wreath for a fantastic shingled look. A very high performance easily grown fat and sassy vine.

60582 SENECIO JACOBENSII VARIEGATUS COMP HP TGH PRICE: $ 8.50 Beautiful "Trailing Jade" clone with each rounded glossy jade leaf richly margined in creamy yellow; stunning. Always considered to be among the first rank of succulent variegates by serious collectors; yet an easily grown beautiful succulent vine for all hobbyists.

52264 TILLANDSIA ARAUJEI BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 5.75 "Sao Paulo Air Plant" Rock dwelling sea-spray species with short curved silvery-scurfted leaves forming thick scandent strands; pink and white flowers. Useful as a feathery accent in wreaths.

52170 TILLANDSIA IONANTHE BRO HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.25 "Blushing Bride" Clustering silver-scaled & haired air plant blushing completely rouge when ready to open its blue blossoms; the basal offsets of this "Sky Plant" eventually form a sphere. Easy as long as you are not tempted to pot this terminally cute epiphyte; loves a good misting if not in the humidity of a greenhouse. Attach upon--not within--the mossy surface of your wreath.

52172 TILLANDSIA USNEOIDES BRO HP TGH HH PRICE: $ 1.75 "Spanish Moss" Silvery-gray threaded masses of tiny plantlets in dramatic garland famous in subtropical and tropical America for their eventual effect on draped trees; yet the perfect houseplant for compulsive mister-ers. Not collected--this is a bright silvery clone from Guatamala (and thus not needing the chill winter of any collected in the southern USA where most clones are a shade dingy gray in color anyway) which has been growing happily in our Ohio greenhouses for the last 20 years. We notice that our customers are beginning to use this lavishly in their terrarium designs where it thrives; or draped upon succulent wreaths, where it's a wonder.

50543 TRADESCANTIA FLUMINENSIS LAEKENENSIS RAINBOW ARAC HP TGH PRICE: $ 4.50 "Rainbow Inch Plant" Small leaves lavishly variegated white & fuchsia with pinkish-blue overtones; remove reversions immediately. Needs good light saturation to maintain this level of rich variegation; perfect in windowboxes, small baskets. Sometimes confused in the trade with the much more petite Callisia repens variegata.

50548 TRADESCANTIA SILLAMONTANA COMM HP CGH PRICE: $ 4.00 "White Velvet" or Gossamer Plant" leaves heavily pelted with white silky gossamer wool; showy magenta-lavender flowers; best if severly pruned seasonally--reduce watering during the winter rest and give a haircut. Mexican native still offered and listed in Europe as Tradescantia / Cyanotis velutina.

40957 VANILLA PLANIFOLIA [FRAGRANS] ORC HP TGH PRICE: $ 15.00 Always popular vine. Wide leathery waxy leaves line the thick vining stems; important commercial "Vanilla Orchid" source of the vanilla bean--the yellow-green flowers are hard to produce with inadequate light, considerable heat, and considerable patience. Sent as generous unrooted cttings in dry moss. If you wish us to hold this until the new aerial roots have penetrated their mossy pots, please advise and we will work out a schedule.
